Check the actual cake-table position
A venue may be air-conditioned overall while the chosen table sits beside a bright window or opening door. Ask where afternoon light falls at the time the cake will be displayed.
Do not place the cake beside heaters, under strong lighting or in a walkway where doors repeatedly open to the outside.
Keep outdoor display time short
A shaded outdoor space can still be hot, humid or windy. Marquees and waterfront settings may change quickly during the reception.
Use an indoor backup position when possible. The cake can still be brought forward for the cutting moment if the agreed design should not remain outside for hours.
Coordinate delivery close to setup
A long gap between delivery and guest arrival increases the time the cake spends on display. Give us the supplier window and planned cutting time.
The venue should be ready to receive the cake when it arrives. Waiting in a loading area or moving it several times adds avoidable handling.
Include flowers and fillings in the discussion
Fresh flowers can wilt or mark the finish in heat. The florist timing and flower preparation should be part of the same setup plan.
Tell us the venue, month and room conditions before the final finish and fillings are confirmed. The advice should relate to the real order rather than a general weather rule.
